Winter is coming to an end, or so we hope...
Wedding season normally starts in the springtime, but I'm always so inspired by the couples who choose to wed in the winter.
Kami and Ian, were sealed in the Boise Idaho temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a beautiful reception in Pocatello the next day. They chose to keep their colors neutral with dusty greens and blues with accents of white! It was the perfect way to embrace the romance of our cold season!
The Boise Idaho temple is gorgeous in the winter! It's exterior is a pale grey that isn't like the stark white walls most LDS temples have. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to architecture, so I was obsessed with how majestic the temple looks in their photos!
Everybody looks so comfortable in the pictures, but don't be fooled! It was freezing temperatures with a bit of wind! Luckily, Kim Captures Photography did an amazing job and snapping the pictures quickly and making sure everybody looked candid!
The reception was held at the Levitt Center in Pocatello. This used to be an church that is now used as a dance studio and community center. The hardwood floors and tall ceilings made for the perfect setting for Unforgettable Events by Kim Hardy to decorate beautifully!
My favorite part of the entire floral design had to be the backdrop! It was textural and organic with the perfect touch of romance. The entire thing was made on a chicken wire base that hung on a few nails. We tied it up with some fishing line just for the extra security. This was the challenge that came out perfectly as I envisioned it in my head!
Kami and Ian were amazing to work with! Their wedding day vision was so much fun to bring to life with flowers! And their families were the cutest! Their smiling faces and warmth was amazing to witness as we delivered the flowers and setup the reception! Weddings days with this kind of family love are what it's all about!
Congratulations Kami and Ian! Your wedding is definitely one that will forever be in my heart as the perfect winter wedding!
